PAINT KERRVILLE! 2026

The 6th Annual OPS Membership Paint Out Competition & Exhibition is October 19 through October 24, 2026.  The "wet paint" show & sale is hosted by Kerr Arts & Cultural Center in Kerrville, Texas. Artists will be painting  throughout Kerrville and the surrounding area including several private property locations. About 275 paintings are expected to be completed by the 55 competition artists in the 4-day event. Entry into this event is “first come, first serve.” Registration is full but you may still register to be added to the waitlist.

HALF DAY PAINTING DEMO
with Texas artist Patrick Saunders 

Patrick Saunders, award-winning artist and newly-announced judge for Paint Kerrville! will present a painting demo on Sunday morning at the Kerr Arts and Cultural Center (KACC) after the Paint Kerrville! show closes. Because he is doing this in the gallery, we have virtually unlimited space for attendees to watch the demo. We will have a video monitor set up to allow a larger than normal group to see what Patrick does during the demo and he’ll be able to discuss and answer questions as he paints.

This demo/discussion will be a half-day event for OPS members and their guests, regardless of whether they are in the Paint Kerrville! competition group. The fee to attend will be $50. We think that this will be an interesting and new experience for Paint Kerrville! attendees and other OPS members interested in participating. Patrick is an award winning artist with a lot of experience painting, judging, and teaching workshops. 

It will be a joy to relax and watch his process of creating and learn from his wealth of knowledge.

PAINT KERRVILLE! 2025

41 artists spread out all over Kerr County & the city of Kerrville to capture this Hill Country community as only plein air painters can!  The weather was perfect for plein air & this year’s event was very successful as evidenced by the sale of 33 paintings! To show support for those affected by the devastating July 4th flood, artists donated 5% of their sales to a flood damaged community relief fund. Their donation matched the 5% of sales donated by Kerrville Arts & Cultural Center. The Friday night VIP reception was well attended and many of the sales happened that evening.
