ABOUT THE EVENT

Plein Air Southwest is a juried membership paint out event presented by the Outdoor Painters Society.  The 2026 event is hosted by Galveston Historical Foundation, Galveston, Texas.  44 Juried artists from Texas and across the nation will compete for $25,000+ in cash and merchandise.  Artists will paint for 5 days and nights at selected locations within the city of Galveston.
